Безнадёжно больные как раз жизнь больше всего и ценят. Тут, скорее, отсутствие стержня, который помогает выжить в любых ситуациях. Или всё было хорошо, а тут раз - и препятствие. Капитальное. А мы не умеем. И не знаем. И уже и не хотим.
